Introducing: Matchblog
Through years of partnering on creative marketing projects at the Albuquerque Community Foundation, we began to playfully joke and dream about starting a marketing company as a dynamic duo. Without hesitation, we decided to meet to see if our dream was feasible. It was during an after-work beer at Bow & Arrow Brewery when our marketing dream became less of a joke and more of a reality. After only a couple minutes of chatting, we knew right away we were a talented duo and a striking force to be reckoned with, especially in the marketing sphere. While working full-time and freelancing on design/copywriting projects together, we spent countless hours meeting with leaders in our community, friends, supporters and family members to piece together our dream jobs. As most know, the process of transforming a dream into a reality takes sacrifice...determination...hard work...creativity and a little bit of scrappiness.
And, that’s the secret to our partnership, our scrappiness.
Just some history: we crossed paths while pursuing our master’s degrees at the University of New Mexico, pursuing full-time careers and volunteering during our spare time - we love to be busy! The two of us have always balanced several jobs at once and to put it simply, we know how to effectively produce great work with limited resources and limited time. Together we are the match and the box. Like us, these two need each other to strike something ablaze: the coarse surface needs its match to ignite a spark.
We are Matchbox Marketing. Together we are the spark you need to ignite your marketing dreams.
We invite you to follow along with us here on our Matchblog as we roll out bi-weekly marketing tips, tricks to the trade for social media campaigns and creative content for you to use as you wish. We are looking forward to working with you on your next graphic design project or social media campaign, but in the meantime, check out our blog - collaborate with us! We’re excited to use this space as a resource for your small business, nonprofit or personal projects.
Lastly, we would like to thank our mentors, partners and supporters by name:
